--Word has been received here of the death of Fred Ledgett, about 60, former well known local resident and equestrian director and bareback rider with the Sells-Floto and Wallace circuses for many years. He died at his home in Rockford, Ill. Sunday after a seven months' illness of a throat ailment. Mr. Ledgett had made his home in Peru for about 44 years, going to Rockford last winter.
--The deceased held a life membership in the Elks lodge in Decatur, Ill., and was a member of the Shrine club in Rockford.
--Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Irene Ledgett, two daughters, Margaret of Chicago and Ann of Monticello, Ill., and three brothers, residing in Rockford.
--Funeral rites were conducted in Rockford Tuesday. Interment was made in the Rockford cemetery.
